Born in 2018 in Jaipur, the Rashtriya Loktantrik Party emerged from years of farmer struggles, student activism and the fight against corruption in Rajasthan.

A symbol of purity, transparency and the simple voice of the common citizen.
The party was founded on 29 October 2018 in Jaipur by Hanuman Beniwal, weeks before the Rajasthan Assembly elections. From day one, RLP positioned itself as a farmer-first political alternative — combining the energy of student movements with the grit of rural Rajasthan.
In its very first election, RLP contested 58 Assembly seats and won 3. In 2019, allying with the NDA, Hanuman Beniwal won the Nagaur Lok Sabha seat by a margin of 1,81,260 votes. After the controversial farm laws of 2020, RLP exited the NDA and stood with the farmers' protest.
Today, RLP is a recognised State Party by the Election Commission of India, with a member in the 18th Lok Sabha and a growing organisation across every district of Rajasthan.
Nagaur, Jaipur, Sikar, Bikaner, Barmer — focused on loan waiver, MSP, irrigation and farmer rights.
Resigned from parliamentary committees and quit NDA in 2020 to support the nationwide farmers' movement.
